5 Easy Steps to Update Your Android OS

Step 1: Make sure your Android OS device is on and preferably fully charged as some updates can take a while to download. Press “Home” to open the device menu.
Step 2: Press “Menu” (which is represented in a variety of different ways on different devices).
Step 3: Click Settings and scroll down until you reach “About Phone”. Click this and another list of items will open up.
Step 4: Select “System Updates”. Your device will then check for new software that you don’t currently have on your phone. If you have nothing available for download, your device will declare that you’re up to date. If you have anything that needs to be downloaded, it’ll appear in a list.
Step 5: If new software has appeared in a list, select the item you need to download and press “Install/Download” in the options that come up.
